On the 26th February 2022, the Ida’s Valley Nature Area (IVNA) and neighbouring historical Stellenbosch suburb of Ida’s Valley, will play host to it’s first ever trail running race, and in doing so officially become part of the six-stage Trail Series® Super League planned for 2022.

The Trail Series® Phantom Rally (TSPR) is the new Wildrunner offering with all the buzz and vibe of the tried and tested Trail Series® format, just wrapped up in a socially distanced, masked and sanitized offering. From 1 July, trail lovers of every age and ability will be able to take part in a new race each month, experiencing the beauty and diversity of the Cape Trails in the only competitive (or non-competitive!) way.

It’s not just a winter thing, running at sunset is the perfect way to end a steamy summer’s day. The temperatures drop, the air stills and you can tune in to the trails in a completely different way. But running after dark has some risk elements attached, and some skills best honed before you grab a headlamp and hit the trail head. With our first Gauteng sunset run coming up on 7 November, now is the time to get in to firefly mode!
