POSITION 1
Job Title: Media and Content Co-ordinator
Job objective:
Document, develop, improve and maintain the Wildrunner communications strategy across all Wildrunner and related event platforms.
Job description summary:
Your day to day tasks will include (but are not exclusive to):
- Manage all website content on four current websites – this includes posting photos, results, race reports, news and race details.
- Manage and improve all Wildrunner social media channels – including Facebook pages, Twitter & Instagram accounts. This includes activating any Social Media programs and sponsor related strategies as well as programming social media postings for events and/or attend events for live posting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media representatives and leaders in the industry, including media hosting where relevant. In parallel with this, write and distribute event press releases and media reviews as per event schedule.
- Communicate with graphic designers and advertising representatives to follow through on advertising commitments and strategies.
- Drive online entry content including schedules, email reminders, post-event surveys etc, including all 3rd party calendar & other content for publication.
- Write, collate and distribute the weekly Wildrunner Newsletter.
- Post-event sponsor report and event related communication.
- Analyse post-event data and statistics using Google Analytics and other analytical tools available, and report thereon quarterly.
- Assist with all email and telephonic queries.
- Update and manage the full Wildrunner, media and photo database & document processes
- Attend events (domestic and international) as Wildrunner crew, with a focus on social media and communications throughout.
- Continually develop and improve on the content and marketing strategy for Wildrunner, which includes identifying new marketing and editorial opportunities.
Requirements
- Tertiary education
- Proven writing and sub-editing skills
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledgeable & competency in all avenues of Social Media
Advantageous
- A trail runner
- Photoshop experience
- Photography
- Video editing skills
- Knowledge of the media landscape in South Africa
- Website Custom Management System experience (CMS)
Remuneration
Salary expectations will be discussed in the interview phase and any remuneration agreement will depend largely on experience.

POSITION 2
Job Title: Administration & Events Coordinator
Job objective:
Effective office & event administration
Job description summary:
Tasks will include (but are not exclusive to) –
- Handle general office administration including front of house communication with clients
- Assist event managers with all pre & post event logistics, documentation for all Wildrunner events
- Coordinate & administer merchandise stock, including stock take, sales and ordering processes
Event day:
- Assist with setup of event equipment and venue, marking of routes
- Co-ordinate registration - setup and crew, pre and during event
- Co-ordinate merchandise - setup Trail Store, manage crew pre and during event
- Assist with break-down of the event equipment and infrastructure
- Document & improve on Wildrunner administration & merchandise processes
Requirements
- Computer competency, specifically Word, Excel & cloud based computing
- Professional phone and email etiquette
- Sound understanding of Social Media
- Strong administrative skills, filing etc.
- Physically fit
- A valid and clean drivers license
Advantageous
- A trail runner
- Good social skills
- Enjoy travelling
- Merchandising experience (retail or otherwise)
