Wildrunner, in partnership with Endurocad & Vital, are offering 20 nominated development athletes the chance to compete at the highest level of trail running at the Sanlam Peace Trail 22 & 11km events.
10 senior athletes between the ages of 17 and 23 years and 10 junior athletes between the ages of 15 and 16 years will compete in the 22km and 11km Sanlam Peace Trail runs respectively. This opportunity will give these athletes the chance to be put forward as candidates for the Endurocad programme and potentially be included in the national trail team if they achieve a top three position on the day.
Athletes need to be South African citizens to be considered for the programme and will receive the following should they be accepted as development athletes:
- Accommodation in Cape Town on Friday 18 September
- Meal vouchers provided for at registration
- R100 taxi fare provided at the finish line
- One sublimated running top & jacket each to be worn during competition
Nominations
Clubs, personal trainers and interested parties are invited to submit nominations on email by Monday 31st August 2015 toinfo@wildrunner.co.za with the following detail:
- Name, Surname
- Age
- ID number
- Contact number
- Club (only if applicable)
- ASA number (only if applicable)
- 4/5km race time (juniors)
- 10km race time (seniors)
- T-shirt size
The 20 athletes will be selected by independent judges and final selection will be announced on Friday 4th September 2015 and communicated with all concerned.
